Late To The Party

Well, I have decided to throw my hat (that would be my free Fiserv hat given to me around 2007, or my Gopher Hockey acquired around 2004) into the blogger ring.  Unfortunately, pretty much everyone has left the ring.  Blogging is so.....2004.  Now everybody tweets, or is on Facebook, or Google + (ok, maybe not Google +).  But you can't lay out a witty and thoughtful opinion in 128 characters.  I just feel like I need a little more space to speak my mind.  So maybe nobody reads this.  Who cares.  I can speak my piece and move along.

Before going on, I have to lay out the ground rules.  I am an employee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and am bound by their rules and guidelines.  So...there will be little if any discussion about what I do on a day to day basis.  Most of the stuff I look at is confidential and I can't talk about it with pretty much everybody.  Further, the opinions I have on this blog are mine, and do not reflect the opinions of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis or the Federal Reserve System.  Even with that disclosure, there won't be much in terms of wild controversy, as my employer abhors controversy.

OK...on with the show!
